: : Third-Person-Posting ~ To avoid confusion, and to keep a relatively uniform read of our role play posts, please keep all in-character posts written in third-person.
: : Play it Cool ~ Description is fantastic, but there is such a thing as being overly descriptive. Please keep all content of your posts PG-13.
: : Stay In Character ~ Any posts made in the role play sections must be in-character. An OOC [out-of-character] note before and/or after the in-character prose is acceptable, but please label anything out of character as such. Also in the C-Box you’ll find a pic that says “off topic”
: : Quality Verses Quantity ~ Neither is to take precedence over the other. While there are arguments that longer posts do not a better role player make, a nod must be given that one to three lines doesn't provide much of a story to work with. As such, all in-character posts must be a minimum 100 characters; this is roughly the size of one standard paragraph - five to six complete sentences.
: : Posts ~ This is very important! Whenever you post in the role-play section, you HAVE to add the following at the end of each post:
Here’s an example of how you have to complete this.
Status: Completed [this is to say if your post is completed. If you run out of time or have a writer’s block, leave this open or write “uncompleted” this will ensure that no one will post after you. You can come back later to edit it]
Opinion: Sad [it can be anything from excited or invincible. This is a one word sentence. You just explain (in one word) how your post made you feel]
Words: 243 [duh! How many words does your word count say?]
Credit: Samantha Mc Groggier everything in red [you change the color of everything that someone had helped you with or you quoted]
Rating: 7/10 [this is for admin only! We will change this, so leave this blank.]
: : Fights and Death ~ The character you choose may be super smart, have super reflexes, or super ###y. However, please keep in mind that forum role playing is interactive storytelling. You cannot kill, or injure, or make physical contact with another player without their prior consent [this includes both violence/duelling, romance, etc.]. By the same token, please do not make your character invincible or omnipotent [all knowing - eg: you cannot act like your character knows exactly what the other person is going to do.]. To help, you can forward the PM you sent to an admin and we may decide that you may kill/injure/love this character.
: : Characters & Relationships ~ Before attempting to start a romance or journey with someone's character, please send them a PM asking if it's OK. Some people may have other plans for their characters.
: : Character Profiles ~ In order to role play, you must have an accepted character biography [as defined by forum staff]. After your bio’s been accepted you may role-play. If, after 24 hours you haven’t been accepted nor denied, you may role-play, since we can’t be active all the time...
: : Bumping and Blah'ing~ We do have a 12 hour bumping rule here. Now, you may copy this code for any OOC chat and/or games/new exc:
